Jong is a philosopher.His philosophy can be broadly described as "biosophy".
His favourite philosophers whom he read when he was young were Bertrand Russell, Herman Hesse, Erich Fromm, Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud, J.J. Rousseau, Montessori, Karl Popper, and Karl Jung.
Jong, in his young age, was mostly influenced by Freud and Russell.
